Ham Radio

I am a Technology Coordinator for a school district in Northern Ohio. My QTH is Amherst, Ohio. I began operating on HF about 3 years ago and am close to my WAS and DXCC awards. I prefer QSL via LOTW. Please enjoy your visit to my little corner of the web.

My station is equipped as follows:

My HF Rig is an Icom 718 with a Dell Optiplex 760 controlling it.

My antennas are a Cushcraft A3s Tri-band beam at about 40' AGL on a Yaesu G-450a rotor. My wire antenna is a G5RVarranged roughly NW to SE at about 40 feet. They run through an LDG Antenna switch. The feed from the Tuner to the antenna switch has an MFJ Auto-Tuner Extender to allow me to get a 1 to 1 match on all bands.
I primarily run Ham Radio Deluxe for all of my logging and Digital Master for my digital contacts. I use a Signalink USB for the audio interface between the PC and the radio.
For local communications, I have an Icom 207 and an Icom 208. The 207 is mounted on a .30 caliber ammo can with a couple batteries inside as a portable unit in case of an emergency. The 208 is rack mounted with all of my HF gear on my ham desk. the 208 and the HF gear are powered by a pair of Samlex 23 Amp Power supplies.
I hope to get all of this documented in a graphical form and get it online soon.
