This is the second design of my Go-rig. Icom IC-208 attached to a .30 cal ammo can with two batteries in the can and room for a magnet mount and coax also in the can. There is almost enough room for the battery charger, mic and cord to also fit in the can. I use a dual band antenna and sometimes a gain antenna if I am going to work mobile. The two batteries will run the rig for at least 24 hours for operations and more than that wile just monitoring. The lid of the ammo can is removeable and thus makes a nifty groundplane for the mag mount antenna and to get it away fromt he rig.

This is Bob one of my two cats and assistant ops for my station. It seems he likes my coax as much as he likes running PSK.
